Dear customers, we would like to remind you of the vital importance of cleaning your machines and using biocides correctly to maintain the highest quality of your end products – paper tubes, protective edges or paper honeycombs. Harmful bacteria can be present in some materials which can compromise the strength and durability of your products.

Key practices for eliminating bacteria:

Hot water mixing: use water heated to at least 60°C when mixing the adhesive. This simple step helps reduce the survival rate of bacteria in adhesives.
Regular cleaning of equipment: wash and sanitize IBCs, agitators and scrapers regularly to keep bacteria out of your production line.
Sterilization of IBCs: Disinfect IBCs with a 5% sodium perchlorate solution before use. This will ensure a sterile environment and maintain the integrity of the adhesives.

By maintaining proper biocide management and cleanliness, you can ensure that your paper products remain strong and reliable without the risk of bacterial damage. For more information on how to keep your production running smoothly, contact our experts at TOPCORE.
